But a lot of the appeal of Star Crunch is just straight fisting it to your face, and the ice cream is missing that fun factor. Had this included both premium ice cream and a more decadent chocolate, I would probably buy it again. That said, there are just way more intriguing ice creams than caramel with chocolate things inside. The total product tastes way more like a Star Crunch than its composition led me to believe. The chocolate coated rice crisps and fudge swirl add plenty of chocolate flavor, too. The ice cream isn’t rich and creamy (remember, it’s only $2.50 a pint), but I’ll give it credit for having a decent caramel flavor in each bite. While an actual Little Debbie Star Crunch puts chocolate at the forefront, the Little Debbie Star Crunch ice cream flips the script and puts caramel first. While new for Little Debbie, rival snack brand Hostess has also transformed some of their treats into ice cream. It featured a creamy white cake base, pound cake pieces and was swirled with green sprinkles and red frosting, just like the cakes. Hudsonville Ice CreamLittle Debbie and Hudsonville’s first collaboration was on Christmas Tree ice cream, which, unlike the new flavors, was only around for a limited time for the holidays.
